Course Description
In this three- hour CE class, you will learn more about the physical and emotional changes that often affect ill, frail and/or elderly clients, as well as positioning and massage techniques geared specifically for the aging or ill client. This class in particularly focuses on clients that are unable to receive a “normal, full body massage” and will teach you how to work on those individuals where they are and how they are, and will employ many of the techniques often used in massaging the medically frail or terminally ill clientele.
This class focuses on both the seated and reclined techniques which are especially beneficial to those individuals confined to a wheelchair or hospital bed. This is a great class for those wanting to get a better understanding of how to work on, and be more comfortable with, the aging and/or ill clientele.
