Course Description
In this three- hour CE class, you will learn more about the physical and emotional changes that often affect ill, frail, hospice and/or elderly clients, as well as positioning and massage techniques geared specifically for those clients. This class in particularly focuses on clients that are unable to receive a “normal, full body massage” and will teach you how to work on those individuals where they are and how they are. We will employ many of the techniques often used in massaging the medically frail or terminally ill clientele.
This class focuses on both the seated and reclined techniques which are especially beneficial to those individuals confined to a wheelchair or hospital bed.
