Course Description
In this 10-hour CEU/Certification class you will learn more about the physical changes and conditions that can affect massage in the different trimesters of pregnancy from an instructor certified in Prenatal Massage, as well as techniques geared specifically for the pregnant client.
This class should help you to get more comfortable working with your pregnant clients in all stages of their pregnancy. We will also discuss ways to promote PN Massage in your practice.
This is NOT a “Specialty” class for high-risk clients but will educate you in basic prenatal massage techniques and should equip you to welcome prenatal massage into your practice.
You do not need to be an LMT to take this course, but You must be a Licensed Massage Therapist to actually do these massages on clients. However, adding this Certification to your resume should help you better market yourself in the Massage Therapy community and with prospective employers.
What You Should Bring
One complete set of sheets, three pillowcases, a hand towel and massage lotion. You are more than welcome to bring a pregnant friend as your “model”. Hands-on will be done in the late afternoon.
